I want to transfer a product from my old device to a new Windows Phone 7. How can I do this?

To transfer products you must have an active subscription. Users with expired subscriptions must renew the subscription to transfer it to a new device. Unbound products are licensed for use on one device at a time.

If you have purchased a product from the Unbound Medicine store by launching the Zune Marketplace, please refer to the application’s website. Then, log in to the site and click the “Mobile” link located in the upper right corner of the page. Then, press download software and launch the Zune Marketplace.

Users who have purchased through the Zune Marketplace on the device and need to reinstall should visit the Zune Marketplace on a device to download again.

Can I purchase Unbound Medicine products from the Zune Marketplace?

Yes. Purchases for Windows Phone 7 applications must be made through the Zune Marketplace. Search for Unbound Medicine in the Zune Marketplace for a complete listing of our products.

The purchase can be made through the Windows Phone 7 device, or by going to the Zune Marketplace on a desktop or laptop computer and syncing the application to the device.

How do I enable WiFi on Windows Phone 7?
  • Please make sure you are in a WiFi hotspot
  • On Start go left to the App List
  • Select Settings
  • Select WiFi
  • Make sure the WiFi networking is set “On”
  • Select a network and connect

How do I create a username and password for my account?

Once a purchase has been completed, a confirmation page will appear on your desktop or laptop. You will notice a link that asks you to activate the account. From this link you will create the username and password, which will allow you to complete the download to your device.

If you should miss this link or prefer to create this information at a later time, please refer back to the registration email. This email is sent once the purchase is complete, and contains a link to register your account. If this does not work, please contact Support for assistance.

How do I update the content in my Unbound Medicine application?

On your Windows Phone 7 device, open the Unbound Medicine application. From the main screen, press the sync button on the bottom of the page. Any available content updates will be downloaded.

Can I access Unbound Medicine products on my PC?

How do I delete the applications from my Windows Phone 7 device?

Phone apps sync directly with your phone and are not part of your media collection in the Zune software on your computer.

If you delete an app or game from your phone, you can reinstall it without purchasing it again as long as the developer continues to include it in Marketplace. When you tap Buy, you’ll see information in the Purchase Confirmation screen that you’ve already purchased this app or game and you’ll have the option to install it again.

To delete apps:

  • On Start, flick left to the App list.
  • Tap and hold an app, then tap Uninstall.

I received a message that states "Account in use." Who should I contact?

This message is generated when the software has been installed on more than one device. Please contact the Unbound Medicine support team to resolve this matter.

Installation

Installation

Begin by downloading the application from the Zune Marketplace. You can do this directly on your Windows Phone. Search for "Unbound Medicine" to see a list of products available from Unbound Medicine, or search for the product by its title to find it quickly.

Once you find the product you want, tap Install.

After installation, you will be presented with a registration form. Complete the form and click Register.

Home Page

The home page displays your selected content. Some applications contain more than one content channel. If so, each channel will be displayed as a separate tile on the application’s home page.

From your home screen, flick the screen to the left to access additional information about your product such as Recently Viewed items, Favorite records (discussed in more detail below), and the About record for your product. The Recently Viewed screen is shown here:

Reminder: The Unbound reader works with the navigational features of your Windows Phone to help you quickly locate the information you need:

  • Use the touchscreen to select resources, etc.
  • To follow your path backwards, use your device’s back arrow.
  • To return to the application’s home screen, tap the Home icon in the application bar

Updating

We recommend that you update your device often to ensure that you have the most current content. To do this, click the double arrow icon located at the bottom of your application’s home page.

Jump to

To avoid scrolling through an entire index, use the Jump To feature. To begin, go to an index within the application. Once there, tap the Jump To text area located just below the index. Next, start typing the word you want to find. The list will automatically scroll to the location in the index that matches the characters you type.

Jump List

The Jump List feature also helps you avoid scrolling through an entire index to find your topic. At the beginning of each new section of an alphabetical index, you will find a lower case letter. Tap that letter to access the Jump List view, and you will then be presented with the screen below. Next, tap the letter which begins the topic for which you are searching.

Note: If an index does not contain words beginning with a particular letter, that letter will appear grayed out on the Jump List screen (as shown below).

Selecting a Resource

The Home screen displays your currently selected content with each resource displayed as an individual box or tile. To open a resource, simply tap the tile. (Some Unbound Medicine applications allow you to edit your subscriptions by logging in to the web application using your desktop browser).

Selecting an Index

Many resources are organized by multiple indexes, all of which you will find displayed in a list. To select a particular index, simply tap its title.

Viewing an Entry

Find your topic quickly by scrolling to the desired entry using the touchscreen. You may also use the "Jump to" feature as described above. To select an entry, tap its title.

Depending on the content, multiple subsections may be available when viewing a record. To jump to a particular subsection, click the Sections icon in the top right corner to see a list of available subsections.

Tap the desired subsection to access it. To return to the record page, use the back arrow button. To select a new record or section, simply tap the Section icon again and choose another title.

Favorites

You can indicate select information as a Favorite so you can access it easily at any time. To view a list of your favorite items, return to the application’s home screen and swipe the screen to the left. (You must have at least one favorite for the Favorites entry to appear).

To create a Favorite, first navigate to the record you would like to save. Once there, tap the favorite icon near the bottom of the app screen.

To remove a Favorite, first return to your list of favorites. Click the Edit button at the bottom of the screen. Next, an (X) will appear after each entry. Tap the (X) to remove a favorite. You will be presented with a confirmation message before each deletion.

Cross Links

Unbound Medicine’s Cross Links feature enables you to access desired information across different content resources. This feature will only appear when linked items are available, at which time you will see the Cross Links icon. If linked resources are available, you will see the Cross Links icon appear in the application bar near the bottom of the screen, as shown below:

Tap the icon and you will be presented with a new screen which lists all available Cross Links. The icon appearing next to each entry identifies the linked resource. To return to the original resource, use the back arrow on your device.
